Lana Stafford is a private teacher and flutist based in Central New York State. Spanning from flute recitals (Civic Morning Musicals) to immersive theater (Breadcrumbs Productions), Lana has also commissioned contemporary classical music, participated in multiple premieres, and been featured on an album. For many years Lana has explored music and dance collaboration, resulting in projects such as an outdoor sculpture installation at the 2016 Lumen Festival at the Atlantic Salt Co. (Staten Island) and performances with choreographer Laura Neese in Queens and Buffalo. Additional guest appearances include Society for New Music, Wooden Cities New Music Collective, and Slee Sinfonietta. After earning her B.M. in flute performance at SUNY University at Buffalo she stayed for her M.M. in flute. Lana has been recognized as recipient of full scholarship honors awards for graduate, undergraduate, and high school study of flute and the performing arts at the University at Buffalo and Manlius Pebble Hill. She has served as a board member in the Central New York Association of Music Teachers and Civic Morning Musicals; Lana interned during past summers at the Skaneateles Festival and Symphoria, where she is now Youth Orchestra Manager & Education Liaison.
